Reiki

Reiki is a healing technique where the therapist channels the universal life force (Reiki) energy into the patient or client by means of touch. This healing energy activates a natural healing process in the body to restore well being emotionally, physically and spiritually. The roots of Reiki are Japanese in origin and the word Reiki comes from the Japanese word (Rei) which means Universal Life and (Ki) which means Energy.

Reiki is often used as a tool for stress reduction, wellness and relaxation. Reiki is not a cure for a disease or illness, however it may assist the body in creating an environment to facilitate healing. Reiki can also be used to use complement traditional medicine and is practiced in many hospitals and medical care settings, in fact, I am a volunteer for St.Josephs Hospice and perform Reiki on many patients as well as having my own practice.

Reiki is not affiliated with any particular religion or religious practice. It is not massage nor is it based on belief or suggestion. It is a subtle and effective form of energy work using spiritually guided life force energy
